DRI conducts raids in Kupwara, two held with 7 kgs narcotic substances | KNO

Kupwara, August 03 (KNO) : Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) has conducted two raids in last twenty four hours at different parts of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district and have apprehend two persons along with seven Kgs of illicit narcotic substances, being transported to other parts of valley, officials said. Officials told KNO that, a raid was conducted at the house of Zafar Ali, son of Fatah Ali in Tangdhar on Friday late afternoon during the raid and they have recovered almost four Kgs of Brown sugar following which the accused has been apprehended. The raid was conducted after specific inputs regarding the transport of illicit transportation of narcotics substances. A special team of DRI was constituted to conduct raids, in the operation two raids were conducted earlier within Kupwara during which a man was apprehend along with three Kgs of Heroine and in another development a raid was conducted in Tangdhar sector at house of one accused who was apprehend along with four kgs of narcotic substances and was taken into possession.(KNO)
